It’s generally considered safe to get Botox while breastfeeding.

Botox, or botulinum toxin, is a medication used to reduce the appearance of wrinkles. Botox can also be used to treat neck spasms, sweating, overactive bladder and lazy eye and to prevent migraines. It works by temporarily paralyzing muscles beneath the skin. While Botox is used locally, there's always a question about whether it can get into your system and, as a result, pass into breast milk.

Research suggests that botulinum toxin may not be detectable in breast milk2  after injections. This has been further supported by InfantRisk Center1 , a renowned research center dedicated to studying the effects of medications on breastfeeding.

But remember, everyone's body is different and responses can vary. That's why it's still a good idea to have a conversation with your healthcare provider before getting Botox while breastfeeding.
