Krystal Duhaney is a Registered Nurse, International Board Certified Lactation Counselor, a breastfeeding mom of three and the founder of Milky Mama—the leading maker of delicious lactation treats designed to promote breast milk production.
Duhaney created Milky Mama in late 2015 after having her second child. That’s when she struggled with her milk supply after returning to work. Duhaney soon realized that there were very few resources for breastfeeding mothers in the same predicament. Using her knowledge as a Registered Nurse and love for baking, Duhaney developed a milk-making cookie recipe and fell in love with the results.
Today, Duhaney is dedicated to educating, supporting and empowering parents to have the best breastfeeding journey possible. And in 2020, she established the Milky Mama Scholarship Fund, in order to help address the racial disparities in breastfeeding rates. The Fund has already raised tens of thousands of dollars to pay for the certification courses and exam fees for aspiring Black Lactation Consultants.
