Can you enjoy a cup of hot chocolate during pregnancy? Absolutely. There's no need to deprive yourself of this warm treat. Just be sure that the milk you’re using is pasteurized.
Something else to consider if you’re using a hot chocolate mix is that the simpler the ingredients, the better. Pregnant or not, it can benefit us to limit our consumption of heavily processed foods with ingredients that we don’t know how to pronounce. So think about comparing a few brands when possible.
You can also make a super simple hot chocolate mix by combining a bit of unsweetened cocoa powder with sugar, or keep it traditional and melt chocolate in some milk.
