How can releasing our perception of control in motherhood, pregnancy, and our lives in general, help us to find ease and purpose?

This question of releasing control Is something that today’s guest Nicole Centeno, the founder of Splendid Spoon, has been contemplating for years. Nicole’s purpose is to remind others about the power of intention around food, and how letting go of control can impact their health and wellbeing in some really miraculous ways.

On today’s episode, Nicole shares her personal motherhood journey, how food was her gateway to meditation and how she continues to revisit mindfulness through pregnancy and motherhood.

About Nicole Centeno

A full life can be unpredictable. I have two kids under the age of three and I run my own business. Food gets spilled. My toddler throws fits. I can either stress or laugh. Laughing is more fun.

When I started Splendid Spoon in 2013, I aimed to make it easier to get my daily dose of whole vegetables. Why? Because adding more plants to your diet is great for you. Period. Spooning throughout the week meant I never missed out on my greens (and reds and oranges and purples).

Our Program is the culmination of over five years of diet and fasting research, customer feedback, hundreds of thousands of meals, and a whole lotta hard work. It’s a foolproof wellness plan that keeps your body fitter, stronger, and cleaner. Beyond the body, we provide the mindfulness training and support that help you take ownership of your well-being. Together, these are the small changes that make a big impact on your health.

When you have a lot going on, simplicity counts. Spooning regularly means I don’t have anxiety about my penchant for bar snacks and takeout. I know my next meal is one that I’ll feel great about.
