Briana Engelbrecht is the Assistant Editor a Babylist, a role in which she’s excited to combine her background in child development and education, with her experience as a mom of two. After experiencing infertility and then becoming a mother amid a life-changing pandemic, she discovered a newfound passion for all things perinatal mental health and supporting parents at every point of their journey.
Before coming to Babylist (and becoming a mom), Briana earned a Bachelor’s Degree in early childhood development from California State University East Bay. She then received her teaching credentials and became a Lead Teacher at UC Berkeley’s Early Childhood Development Program in the toddler classroom. When she’s not writing, you can find her spending time with her family, reading books, painting and buying plants.
