How can fitness impact the motherhood journey from the inside, out?

Joanie Johnson, the co-founder of Fit Pregnancy Club (FPC) in New York City, is on the podcast today to share her vision for what pregnancy and postpartum fitness can look like, and spoiler alert, it’s not just about taking care of your physical health, but connecting with other women as well.

After recognizing a need in the fitness industry to provide more comprehensive and holistic training for pregnant and postpartum women, Joanie became a pre- and post-natal exercise specialist and hasn’t looked back since. Now, through her studio, she helps women to feel strong, supported and informed about their body as they move through pregnancy and new motherhood.

On today’s episode Joanie is sharing her own journey through pregnancy, birth and postpartum, what she’s learned from opening Fit Pregnancy Club and why she hopes every woman will take the time to breathe and find connection within themselves and others throughout the amazing, transformational experience that is motherhood.

Joanie Johnson, is the co-founder of Fit Pregnancy Club (FPC) in NYC. She is a Pre/Postnatal Corrective Exercise Specialist, Diastasis & Core Consultant, certified Holistic Health Coach, Pilates mat instructor, Personal Trainer and holds a BA in Dance. After spending 9 years in the professional dance world and then having a baby of her own, she devoted her work to designing a workout that strengthens the specific muscles needed for pregnancy, labor, delivery and easier postpartum recovery. FPC opened in October 2017 and has already guided over 750 women through their pregnancy and postpartum journeys.
