Birth Equity Resource Center – Fertility, Pregnancy, & Parenthood

Updated: April 27th, 2021

As a company, it is our mission to bring calm and confidence into the world, from the moment that life begins.

Yet in this world, it is all too evident that the lives of Black, Indigenous, and people of color are not treated with equal reverence and respect. That many people are denied their fundamental right to a peaceful existence, from the moment they are born.

This must change.

As a community of parents and parents-to-be, we are committed to making Expectful a space that helps dismantle structural racism, providing education, and uplifting BIPOC voices and stories.

This list of BIPOC leading anti-racist work for birthing families includes national and community organizations, educators, midwives, and doulas. It represents only a fraction of the leaders and advocates who have taken up this cause before us and will continue to be updated with new resources. If you have suggestions for additions to this list, please contact care@expectful.com

Here for you,
Team Expectful
