Steak is safe to eat during pregnancy as long as it’s thoroughly cooked to a well-done temperature.

When it comes to the consumption of animal protein during pregnancy, the rule of thumb is to make sure it’s thoroughly cooked. Raw and undercooked meat, poultry, eggs, and seafood are all very appealing homes for bad bacteria like E. Coli and Salmonella, both of which can result in illness. To eliminate this risk, make sure that you order your steak well done for the duration of your pregnancy barbecue nights.
